Current Principal's Speech
On behalf of the entire students, staff and parents of this school, I want to sincerely thank the Old Students Association of Iwo Grammar School for their support and encouragement. The task of providing quality education to our children is an enormous one and cannot be accomplished without the cooperation of all major stake holders including the Old Students Association. It is worthy of note that IGSOSA has contributed immensely in the area of provision of infrastructure - seats for the students, chemicals for the laboratory, sports equipments, maintenance of the school bus, borehole to supply water and classrooms for students.
In addition to the above, the IGSOSA has employed teachers to teach core subjects like English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Economics and Government to compliment the effort of Government of the state. Also, a sick bay was built by IGSOSA and supplied with drugs and dressings to take care of the health of students and staff. Another 4-classroom block under construction is at the roofing stage. For all of the above inputs of IGSOSA, we say a big thank you. I want to use this unique opportunity to invite all old students to join hands with others as every one that has passed through the school should give back something in return to the school.
Finally, I want to sincerely appreciate all the members of IGSOSA who are working tirelessly to see the school remain on top and in good shape among her equals. God will continue to bless you abundantly and you will not lack any good thing. Thank you.
