I welcome you to the official website of the Iwo Grammar School Old Students Association, an assembly of noble compatriots.
The achievements of the association have been daunting and wonderful as it was witnessed during the 50th anniversary, we cannot and should not go lower. Since Anybody's work is Nobody's work, the association have 8 various committees as well as stanza representatives. The association have commissioned various developmental projects within the school and more are still ongoing. Am using this medium to appeal to all our members to do regularly attend the association's monthly meeting and please, do inform others.

On behalf of the entire students, staff and parents of this school, I want to sincerely thank the Old Students Association of Iwo Grammar School for their support and encouragement. The task of providing quality education to our children is an enormous one and cannot be accomplished without the cooperation of all major stake holders including the Old Students Association. It is worthy of note that IGSOSA has contributed immensely in the area of provision of infrastructure - seats for the students, chemicals for the laboratory, sports equipments, maintenance of the school bus, borehole to supply water and classrooms for students.
In addition to the above, the IGSOSA has employed teachers to teach core subjects like English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Economics and Government to compliment the effort of Government of the state. Also, a sick bay was built by IGSOSA and supplied with drugs and dressings to take care of the health of more

IGSOSA History

Iwo Grammar School Old Students Association was formed 2 years after the first set graduated and it has continued to wax stronger up till today.

The formation came into being in 1971 with only 4 members.

IGS History

Iwo Grammar School was founded as a Community co-education secondary school at the then vacant Oke-Afo District Council School on Monday March 2, 1964 with 30 students comprising of 18 boys and 12 girls including 1 founding principal and 1 class teacher.

The reasons for this establishment were a reaction to the Baptist Mission owner of Baptist College that insisted on actual conversion to christianity before one could gain admission into their college.
